Parents & Citizens Association

The P&C exists to promote the interest of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation.

We do this by encouraging parent and community participation in everyday school activities, sporting and social functions, this creates not only a great place for our children to learn but a fun place for us all to be. We encourage everybody to become involved in school life and assist in your child's education.

The P&C meet at the school on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend and meetings generally finish by 8:30pm. The P&C meetings include reports from the President, Treasurer, Principal, the Canteen Manager; followed by general business that includes suggestions anyone may have.

Please come along and be involved in your child's education while enjoying great company.  New members are most welcome.

Each year the P&C offer scholarships to Year 5 students in the fields of Academic, Performing Arts, Creative Arts and Sport. The scholarships are to the value of $750 each. Following the submission of an application, a panel of P&C Members and school staff interview the shortlisted students to ultimately select a student in each category.

The P&C organise and work hard to provide fundraising events throughout the year. Fundraising events include:

  • Walkathon/Family Fun Day,
  • Mother's Day Stall,
  • Father's Day Stall,

Other ways the P&C fundraise is through free clothes day, school discos, selling children's artwork on calendars and mugs etc.

All funds raised go towards purchasing items that make our school a great place to be. Just a few of the things that the P&C have and continue to purchase or contribute towards are:

  • Canteen Monitor badges,
  • Year 6 shirts,
  • Equipment and major works for the school,

The P&C are always seeking new and fresh fundraising ideas as well as volunteers to assist on event days. Please come along to a meeting and get involved.

Everyone is welcome to attend a meeting of the P&C and get involved with your child's educational experience. New ideas and volunteering hands are also welcomed. If you wish to contact the Ross Hill Public School P&C, you may do so on any of the following details:
