Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
A group of boys have enjoyed learning the didgeridoo as part of their cultural awareness and understanding. New experiences and opportunities are made available to help students connect with learning, their community and their culture.
Book Fair and Book Week are well enjoyed each year. Reading is fundamental to success in education, and staff are constantly promoting reading as a source of both leisure and learning.
Students are encouraged to be proud of who they are, their history, culture and their futures! NAIDOC celebrations are an opportunity for our school to promote respect and connection across our school.
Clay days are an opportunity to do something different, to be creative and enjoy getting your hands dirty. Parents and family members are often invited to these experiences. There is more to learning than just literacy and numeracy.
Motivational speakers, such as John Coutis, are engaged to motivate and inspire our students, staff and community. By providing real world connection and giving purpose to life opportunities has proven invaluable in recent years.
Sporting opportunities are available for those with a willingness to participate and give a variety of sports a go. Many students find opportunities to try new sports, become members of a team and to unite is effort and spirit to succeed.
"Ross Hill Public School is a great school, where students are supported as young and emerging learners. They know that the school staff care and support them to be successful.” — a parent of Ross Hill Public School
